As a Marketing Events Manager – EMEAI at Gurobi Optimization, you will support our events strategy and lead the executions of events in the EMEAI region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in event planning and management within the tech industry, demonstrating a track record of achieving successful outcomes. You will implement and execute the EMEAI events strategy aligned with our company goals, overseeing the end-to-end planning and execution of both Gurobi-hosted and third-party events. This includes managing event logistics, timelines, budgets and coordinating resources to ensure seamless execution.

Additionally, you will collaborate closely with the EMEAI marketing & sales teams to integrate event campaigns that drive attendance and generate leads. Building and maintaining relationships with key industry partners, negotiating contracts, and establishing KPIs to measure event success will be essential. Your role will involve analyzing event data to provide data-driven insights and recommendations for future events. This position requires strategic thinking, strong organizational and partnership skills, and the ability to deliver impactful results in a dynamic environment.

What will you be doing?

Execute the EMEAI events strategy.
Manage end-to-end planning and execution of Gurobi-hosted and third-party events and conferences, ensuring seamless coordination of logistics, timelines, budgets, and resources. This includes venue selection, vendor management, staffing, travel arrangements, on-site event coordination and post event reporting.
Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to develop integrated marketing campaigns to promote events, manage event websites, drive attendance, and generate leads. Utilize various channels such as email marketing, social media, and digital advertising to maximize event reach and impact.
Work closely with internal stakeholders to develop compelling creative event content, including presentations, demos, collateral, and promotional materials. Ensure that content aligns with brand messaging and resonates with target audiences.
Cultivate relationships with key industry partners, event organizers, vendors, and sponsors.
Establish KPIs and metrics to measure event success. Analyze post-event data and feedback to evaluate performance, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations for future events.
Keep calendars and reporting systems up to date to reflect planning stages and results.

What experience and qualifications should you have?

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
5-7 + years of experience in events marketing, focusing on the tech industry.
Proven track record of successfully planning and executing large-scale events, including conferences, trade shows, webinars, virtual/hybrid events and product launches.

Strategic thinker with a creative mindset and attention to detail.
Proficiency in event management software and tools.
Flexibility to travel up to 30% of the time.
Fluent in English and another European language (French and German preferred)

What other skills should you have?

Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale projects from inception to completion.
Proficiency in WordPress for creating event landing pages and crafting registration processes, along with familiarity with customer relationship management systems and Content Management Systems (CMS).
Experience with tools like Marketo, Zoom Events, Salesforce, Whova and Asana is a bonus.
Willingness to travel for team offsites and events.
