Job Description: Product Sales Executive
Location: Germany, or other countries in Europe – Remote
We are looking for an experienced, highly engaged, and driven Sales Professional for the AECO sector of Trimble, Inc. to develop and grow Trimble’s MEP Supply Chain Solutions sales business in Europe.
What You Will Do
The Supply Chain Product Sales Executive will be responsible for engaging with international building product manufacturers (BPMs), and others in the MEP supply chain, to achieve business growth in Trimble’s supply chain business.
Trimble is the leading content provider for the MEP industry worldwide, offering solutions across North America, Europe, and the U.K that help Manufacturers get their product data in the hands of the broad customer base of Design Engineers and Contractors who rely upon Trimble’s market-leading suite of estimating, design, & modeling software solutions. In addition to these end-users, Trimble also connects the supply chain by syndicating this same product data to material wholesalers to ensure they have the latest pricing and product information in their systems for the brands they deliver to the market.
Trimble delivers BPM content that includes rich product information, pricing, and 3D geometry through the well-established Luckins & MEPcontent.com platforms, which are heavily relied upon across the MEP domain as estimators, engineers, & designers utilize Trimble applications such as ProDesign, Nova, & Stabicad (and other third-party applications) for their daily work.
You will target both new prospective BPM customers as well as grow our footprint within our current BPM customer accounts. You will also be responsible for evangelizing and educating BPMs on the benefits that Trimble’s content platforms provide – as well as the value of having their brands represented with the quality content that is key to supporting downstream procurement & design workflows across the Trimble eco-system of customers and solutions.
This is an individual contributor role and it requires that you develop a full understanding of the unique value proposition that supports Trimble’s MEP supply chain business in your region.
You must be a strong communicator, be well organized and structured, creative, have both a strong technical aptitude and an entrepreneurial spirit and, most importantly, have the sales skills and drive to ensure that sales goals are met or exceeded.
Measures of success
As a Product Sales Executive for MEP Supply Chain Solutions at Trimble, you will be responsible for the expansion of the Supply Chain/Content business within your region in Europe. Specific responsibilities are:
Successfully represent and sell Trimble’s MEP Supply Chain solutions within your region in the EU.
Deliver and exceed quota by researching, finding, prospecting, developing, and closing leads and prospects for MEPcontent in your region.
Develop and execute your tactical go-to-market sales plan that will achieve specific business objectives for your region.
Engage with other teams in developing a long range strategy for the supply chain business within your region and across the entire organization.
Accurate reporting on sales activity and forecasting to senior sales management
Consistent monitoring of your sales activity, managing your pipeline, KPIs and tracking your performance and results.
Responsible for key new product selling and direct participation in closing strategic opportunities.
Work closely with Product and Product Marketing to support R&D on existing and new products and services, customer development, go to market validation, and deliver to them valuable prospect, customer and seller feedback.
Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to the senior product and sales leadership teams.
Work closely with the marketing team to ensure that marketing programs and target messaging meets and aligns with the overall sales objectives and maximizes revenues in your region.
Work cross-functionally with other internal partners and resources to ensure consistent processes, proper deal execution, and overall successful team operation
What Skills & Experience You Should Bring
5 years of senior sales experience
Fluent in German and English.
Experience in a SaaS/Subscription software and/or services business.
Ideal candidate is someone who has sold either products, software and/or services into the Building Product Manufacturing Industry and a specialization and prior experience in (PIM) Product Information Management solutions is a big plus.
Knowledge of the construction and/or AEC industries is also a big plus
Demonstrated ability to effectively motivate, and influence prospects and customers to achieve Trimble’s strategic business objectives
Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills. Listens effectively, transmits information accurately and understandably, and actively seeks feedback.
Able to deal effectively with higher-level executives both internally and outside the company.
Demonstrated expertise in selling strategies and methodologies and strategic planning and execution.
This position requires travel of up to 50% and candidates for this position must be willing and able to meet travel requirements. However, travel requirements and cadence will vary. A valid driver’s license and ability to qualify for a US Passport are required.
This position requires that you have the ability to qualify for a company credit card or are in the possession of a personal credit card with sufficient limits to charge all necessary travel expenses.
