The Europe Sales (or Sales Manager) at Novoloop will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding market presence for our TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane), polyol, and other polyurethane products across the Europe region. The ideal candidate will have extensive industry knowledge, a proven track record in sales, and the ability to build strong relationships with customers. This is our first sales role in Europe and will report directly to our CEO. The rest of the Novoloop team is based in California.

Candidate should reside in Western Europe and be able to travel up to 60% to meet with customers and attend trade shows, mostly in Europe. Start date: October 28, 2024.

Responsibilities

Sales Strategy and Execution: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and expand market share for TPU and polyol products in Europe.

Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers. Understand their needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their requirements.

Market Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities and market segments. Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences. Understand Novoloop product value propositions and differentiation to compete with large producers in Europe.

Sales Pipeline Management: Manage the entire sales process, from lead generation to closing deals. Maintain an up-to-date sales pipeline and provide accurate sales forecasts to management.

Technical Expertise: Leverage in-depth knowledge of TPU and polyol products to provide technical support and guidance to customers. Address technical inquiries and collaborate with the R&D team to ensure customer satisfaction.

Negotiation and Contract Management: Lead negotiations with customers to secure profitable deals. Prepare and review sales contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

Travel and Representation: Travel extensively within the Europe region to meet with customers, conduct site visits, and attend tradeshows and industry events. Represent Novoloop in a professional and positive manner.

Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular sales reports and performance analyses. Provide insights and recommendations to management for continuous improvement.

Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, R&D, and operations teams to align sales efforts with overall business objectives. Contribute to product development and market launch initiatives.

Customer Feedback: Collect and relay customer feedback to relevant departments to support product improvement and innovation.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the chemical, material science, or plastics industries, preferably with TPU, polyol, or related urethane polymer products.
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets in the European market.
Experience building and managing relationships with key customers and partners in the B2B space, particularly in industries such as automotive, footwear, and industrial applications.
Experience exhibiting at K Fair is highly preferred.

Technical Knowledge:

Strong understanding of TPU and polyol applications, benefits, and technical attributes.
Ability to engage in technical specification discussions with customers and recommend Novoloop products based on spec requirements.

Skills:

Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to operate independently and drive results in a highly competitive market.
Familiarity with European product regulations, market dynamics, and customer expectations.

Travel:

Willingness to travel extensively across Europe (up to 60% of the time) to meet customers, attend industry events, and represent Novoloop at trade shows.

Languages:

Fluent in English. Proficiency in one or more European languages (German, French, etc.) is highly preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 80.000,00€ – 120.000,00€ per year
